Salesforce is a super powerful tool and object relationships are another very useful layer.

Object Relationships allow you to connect two objects. There are several types of relationships, including Master-detail, many-to-many, lookups, and hierarchical. Let's focus on Lookups and Master-detail relationships.

  • Lookup relationships link two objects together, but they are stand-alone. Each object can exist on its own.
  • Master-detail relationships create a dependency between two objects. If the Master object is deleted, all the details will be deleted as well - they cannot exist independently.

Attentive mirrors your Salesforce configuration. Therefore any lookup relationships configured in Salesforce are available on Slack, for each Salesforce object: Opportunities, Leads, Accounts, Contacts, and Tasks. When creating or editing an object with available relationships, you can link them right away with Attentive on Slack.
