You're about to embark on a fantastic journey with Attentive!

Before you start make sure you are:

  • A HubSpot CRM / Salesforce Admin
  • A Slack Workspace Owner

Also, keep in mind that team members must have the same email in the CRM and Slack Workspace in order to be able to join the team.

How to check if you are a HubSpot CRM Admin?

1. Go to https://app.hubspot.com and log in with your account.

2. On the header, go to Settings.

3. Select Users & Teams.

4. Under the Users tab, check the Access column for your permissions.

I am not a HubSpot CRM Admin. What should I do?

Since Attentive connects to your company's HubSpot account and data, it really has to be the Admin to do the setup.

Ask your HubSpot CRM Admin to do the setup for you, or request Admin privileges so you can continue the process.

1. Go to your Slack Workspace.

2. Click your workspace name in the top left.

3. If you are a Workspace Owner, you'll see the option Administration below the workspace information:

4. If you're not a Workspace Owner, the Administration menu option will not appear.

Remember: the person doing the setup must be both CRM Admin and Slack Workspace Owner.

Slack has a very cool feature that allows Workspace Owners to enable certain members to add Apps to the workspace. Check Slack's help to learn more on how to activate this option.
